Drift Masters Finland: Maxflo-Sponsored Drivers Make Their Mark at Round 3

From storm-soaked tandems to record-breaking qualifiers, Round 3 of the 2025 Drift Masters European Championship (DMEC) in PowerPark, Finland delivered everything fans could ask for—adrenaline, unpredictability, and unforgettable moments. For Maxflo Motorsport, it marked another milestone as sponsored drivers Dave Egan and Conor Falvey took to the European stage, each carving out their place in the spotlight.

Qualifying: Red Bull Moments & Breakout Runs

The PowerPark circuit is one of the most technically challenging layouts in the Drift Masters calendar—and when rain swept across the track during qualifying, the drama doubled.

James Deane set the tone early with a near-perfect 98.5-point run, topping the leaderboard and raising the bar for the rest of the field. While Local hero Mika Keski-Korpi thrilled the home crowd with a spectacular 94-point run, leading qualifying for much of the session.

For Maxflo, the action was just heating up:

Conor Falvey, the 16-year-old Irish prodigy, delivered a smooth and aggressive run to secure Top 32 placement. Calm under pressure, his performance showed why he’s considered one of the brightest talents in the championship.

Dave Egan, no stranger to high-stakes motorsport, battled nerves and a slippery surface to qualify cleanly into the elimination rounds—just as he did at Round 1 in Madrid.

The qualifying session set the stage for one of the most chaotic weekends in recent Drift Masters history.

Top 32 & Top 16: No Room for Error

As eliminations kicked off, the changing grip levels and looming rain made every corner a risk. High-profile upsets came quickly:

Championship leader Oliver Randalu bowed out early in a tense Top 16 battle with Mika Keski-Korpi after a crucial mistake, shaking up the leaderboard and opening the door for new contenders.

In the midst of the chaos, Maxflo’s drivers stood firm:

Conor Falvey executed one of the cleanest chase lines of the round, showing maturity well beyond his age.

Dave Egan, in his rookie Drift Masters campaign, pushed through a tightly contested battle that demonstrated his precision and mechanical confidence—reinforcing Maxflo’s belief in supporting rising grassroots talent.

Though both drivers exited before the Top 8, their performances left an impression on fans and commentators alike.

The Final Battles: Conor Shanahan’s Finnish Legacy Grows

As the field narrowed, the battles only got more intense. In a finale dripping with drama:

Conor Shanahan faced off against Tor Arne Kvia in a showdown described as “Fire. Rain. Chaos.” by Drift Masters’ social feeds. With both drivers refusing to lift, it was Shanahan who emerged victorious—claiming his second career win in Finland and climbing to 1st in the championship standings.

Kvia, though defeated, proved his title ambitions are real—now ranked 4th overall. Hometown hero Heinonen rounded out the podium after a fierce bronze battle, giving Finnish fans one last reason to cheer.

Ireland’s Next Drift Star

Backed by Maxflo, Falvey’s weekend was a step forward on the European stage. His qualifying run and confident tandems showed serious potential. With continued development, the podium is well within reach.

Dave Egan

Still in the early stages of his Drift Masters journey, Egan’s performance under pressure in one of the season’s most chaotic rounds proves why Maxflo backed him. A steady hand and sharp eye for lines, he’s fast becoming a threat in any Top 32 bracket.
